After visiting vampires and ghosts, Alberto Cortés took to the darkness to turn the pages of a manuscript found in the English countryside of the 19th century, and signed by a mysterious Ester, disappeared without leaving any trace.
In these incandescent poems, where the voices of Emily Dickinson and the Brantë sisters also resonate, love becomes wider than life, and the lover becomes a celestial body, as carnal as well as spiritual. On stage, Alberto Cortés embodies this star that abandons itself entirely to the adoration of the public, and whose brightness fades by force to be worshipped.
Last season's revelation with Analphabet, Alberto Cortés continues to populate his queer mythology and side through his hypnotic presence, his burning poetry, his gestures that explore romanticism and his entrails. El corazón de Ester is his new declaration of love for spectators.
