Feeded by more than twenty years of creation between Beirut, the Arab world and Europe, this piece strongly questions the relationship between art, power and existence. What does dancing mean in a territory marked by war, loss and fractures? Who owns the dance? And what can the body still do in the face of structures of domination, defusing or forgetting?
Between speech, movement and presence, Omar Rajeh traces a personal and collective past, exploring the traces left by history in the bodies. Here, dancing becomes an act of resistance, a way of bringing up memory, questioning the dominant narratives and opening a space where past, present and future dialogue.
A powerful and luminous work, where dance reveals itself as a vital, political and deeply human gesture.
