"Extreme Corps" by Rachid Ouramdane / Compagnie de Chaillot

When Rachid Ouramdane created Corps extrêmes in 2021, the choreographer wants to “focus on the fascination exerted by the notions of flight, weightlessness, suspension, gliding…”. By his side, he brings together an atypical freedom‑loving community made up of two emblematic practitioners of extreme sports – a highliner and a climber – and eight acrobats.
Together, they will create a show both in relief and in lightness, moving between sky and earth, with an imposing climbing wall at the back of the stage serving as the main point of support. Crossed high above by a long line, the stage sometimes turns into a vast screen onto which images – literally dizzying – of highliner Nathan Paulin and climber Nina Caprez in action, set in magnificent natural landscapes, are projected. Also heard off‑stage are the voices of these two exceptional athletes as well as that of the aerialist Airelle Caen, each delivering a personal testimony about their practice.
This spectacular human and artistic adventure recounting extraordinary experiences has since toured the world, meeting an ever more enthusiastic audience.
