A musical gust sweeps across the Rive Gauche, led with beating drums by the harmony orchestra of La Sirène de Paris. Founded in 1874, this amateur orchestra, among the oldest in the capital, brings together more than seventy musicians in repertoires at the crossroads of classical music and current repertoires. With the creation « Nous sommes le vent », it proposes an original collaboration with the jazz quartet Hormê - trombone, guitar, double bass, drums - to make imaginations vibrate. The repertoire, built around the compositions of Rozann Bézier, draws moving landscapes, crossed by breaths and bursts.
These fiery works plunge into the heart of climatic elements, from mists to storms, with an unprecedented emotional intensity.
Under the direction of William Le Sage, the harmony orchestra of La Sirène de Paris reveals here all its sensitivity and its taste for collective dynamics. Faithful to its missions, it defends more than ever a living musical practice, where popular music and contemporary creation dialogue.
