Claude's Journey – a musical and designed Claud-ysey
Claude's Journey is a young audience show where he takes the lead in a poetic, musical and visual world. An initiatory adventure that begins with a failure: Claude, a curious and sensitive little heroine, cannot swim. Let it not hold: she goes to discover the world, to meet colorful characters who will help her overcome her fears and find her way. A sweet and joyful odyssey, between introspection, humour and emancipation. But... Bloup! We prefer not to reveal everything to you...
On stage, the Claude Trio makes a living score, between jazz and narrative. The music, written especially for the project, mixes improvised flights, playful grooves and dreamy melodies. It accompanies the story, recorded upstream and carried by the voices of the musicians themselves, in an alternation of dialogues, wild situations and poetic confidences.
And while the music tells, Sophie Bataille, a world-class watercolourist, draws live the whole story of Claude. Her brushes give birth to landscapes, emotions, characters. It makes appear, transforms, erases and repeats, in total symbiosis with the trio. Like a living travel diary, where every drawing is built before our eyes, carried by music.
Claude's journey is 45 minutes of sensitive immersion for both young and old. A show where children (and adults!) discover jazz without prejudice, with the enthusiasm of the game, the strength of the imagination and the softness of watercolour. An initiatory story, but also an invitation to feel, to marvel, to laugh, to grow. Palms, bath cap and wide open heart recommended.
Duration: 45 minutes. All audiences from 7 years old. Each seat is €13 online (one-off rate, valid for 1 person, child or adult). Doors open 30 minutes before. Reservations are highly recommended.
Around the concert: workshop around the discovery of instruments and improvisation.
In co-production with the Collective Flood. As part of the young public festival Jazz Seeds on Seine 2026.
Line-up : Thomas Julienne : double bass ; Robin Antunes : violin ; Tom Peyron: battery; Sophie Bataille : drawing and watercolor
