The life of the Théâtre musical de Paris would not be quite the same without the regular presence of the Chœur d’Enfants Sotto Voce which, for a little over twenty years, has made it its home.
It is therefore a large family that gathers for the traditional Christmas concert, the annual meeting of the sixty choristers, aged 10 to 18, and coming from across the Île-de-France region. Directed by Scott Alan Prouty, they do not hide their pleasure of being on stage and occupying, on their own, the Grande Salle, in order to share with the audience their joy of singing. This concert is also an opportunity to appreciate, year after year, the fruit of a vocal work that is as demanding as it is intensive, allowing the young singers to move from one style of music to another with cheerfulness and agility. Naturally, the classics of the repertoire are on the program, and for sure, at least one of these titles will be featured: Silent Night, We Need a Little Christmas, Noël Blanc, Feliz Navidad, Let it Snow !, Carol of the Bells, etc. While no one tires of the Christmas repertoire, the Chœur d’Enfants Sotto Voce nevertheless reserves some surprises, sometimes more than surprising, thanks to the complicity of Scott Alan Prouty and Evandra Martins!
