Paphos, Melini, Simo and Panagia enjoy melodies from the world of cinema presented through new orchestrations
A distinctive musical experience that highlights the power of film music through its encounter with the image, presents the chamber music ensemble Orchestra Lumiere, in a series of concerts under the artistic direction of composer Kyriakos Kosta and pianist Marianna Georgiou.
Well‑known and beloved melodies from the world of cinema are presented through new orchestrations, with particular emphasis on compositions of the 21st century. The result is a unified musical program that bridges cinema with live music, offering the audience an experience that rarely has the chance to be enjoyed live.
The concert is complemented by an original interactive video art piece, created by Andreas Christoforos, designed especially for this production. Music and image converse live, creating a complete audiovisual spectacle.
The production premieres in Paphos, organized by the Municipality of Paphos, and then travels to mountain communities of Limassol and Paphos as part of the Cultural Decentralization program.
