This fall, Limassol will host one of the most spectacular cultural events of the year—legendary French actress Fanny Ardant will take the stage at the Pattihio Theatre in a unique production of Cassandre.
This is not just a play, but an impressive spoken opera, where dramatic art, music, and the power of words come together to form a single emotional work. Accompanied by the Commandaria Symphony Orchestra, the audience will witness the story of the mythical Cassandra—a woman doomed to know the future but never to be heard.
The production is based on Christa Wolf’s famous novel and recounts the final moments of Cassandra’s life. It is a poignant monologue about love, loss, strength of spirit, and the inevitability of fate, filled with deep emotions and philosophical reflections.
Fanny Ardant is one of the most outstanding actresses in world cinema and theater, the muse of director François Truffaut, and the recipient of numerous prestigious awards. Her appearance on stage is a rare opportunity to witness a living legend of French art.
