Supported by the association Maestra — founded by photographer Alexia Fiasco and director Claire Lapeyre-Mazérat —, the Fauvettes project has been supporting, since 2021, the residents of the Fauvettes district in Pierrefitte-sur-Seine, in the transformation of their neighborhood, marked by a demolition process. At the intersection of artistic creation, transmission and social action, Maestra develops collaborative forms where stories, archives and shared practices become tools to accompany urban changes and to foster new spaces of connection.
Located since 2025 in a former supermarket in the Joncherolles-Fauvettes district, the Fauvettes City Club extends this dynamic as a place of living, creation and meeting, where collaborative practices, a multidisciplinary program and forms of shared governance unfold. Designed with and for the residents, this space affirms art as a lever of emancipation, of reappropriation of narratives and of territorial transformation.
This white paper at Métallos extends this commitment by showcasing the collective dynamics born in the territory, between memory, creation and new forms of social connection.
The event opens with a debate “Paris vs Suburbs: what spaces of joy, gathering and creation for popular neighborhoods?” before continuing with Nos Vies, Vos Tours. Mixing docu-fiction and musical creation, this performed sound piece lets the voices of popular neighborhoods be heard and transforms the stage into a space of memory, joy and collective creation. On‑stage side, concerts by local talents and DJ sets extend this highlight in a collective and festive dynamic.
An inclusive laboratory that unites center and periphery through emancipatory art.
Nos Vies, Vos Tours
Nos Vies, Vos Tours is a performed sound piece that commemorates the walls of the Fauvettes, a district of Pierrefitte that will soon disappear.
Between docu-fiction and musical work, this hybrid piece is a long poem that intertwines the voices and perspectives of the authors Chouf and Diaty Diallo. Reappropriated and performed on stage by the residents and the two authors, this piece calls for rethinking our way of inhabiting and especially our way of occupying and transforming a territory.
This project was initiated by Alexia Fiasco and Claire Lapeyre-Mazérat, cultural and social workers of the association Maestra who have been supporting, since 2021, the residents of the Fauvettes towards the demolition of their district. This show is the result of the meeting between the two authors and the residents of the Joncherolles-Fauvettes neighborhood. It was presented at MC93 and at the Centre Pompidou in its short form
