Dance at the border, dance borders: those between the Arab world and Europe, between thegnaua culture and flamenco, between contemporary dance and traditional worlds. The universe of Taoufiq Izeddiou is based on everyday gestures and actions, to create a current dance, rooted in what forms a culture, from work to dance. In this permeable area, the pioneer of contemporary Moroccan dance here creates the meeting between six professional performers and a dozen amateurs, renewed in each city that hosts Border Dance. His new creation weaves the link with spirituality, building a community and the sources of trance, exploring the energy of a repetitive dance until exhaustion.
