These past years, several studies have highlighted the deterioration of perinatal health indicators in France, as well as the strong social and territorial inequalities that affect them. The situation of pregnant women, mothers and newborns without a home, still largely invisible, appears particularly concerning. The REPERES study, carried out by the Samusocial Observatory of Paris and the Solipam Network, provides unprecedented insight into the consequences of residential precariousness on the physical and mental health of mothers and their children. While the Government has undertaken a revamp of perinatal policy, these results represent an opportunity to strengthen the consideration of this population in public policies.
UNICEF France, the Samusocial of Paris and the Solipam Network, with the support of the City of Paris, are offering a discussion session dedicated to these issues, in order to bring together the perspectives of research, the field and institutions, and to identify concrete action pathways to improve the care of pregnant women, mothers and newborns without a home.
This half‑day will be organized around two round tables:
The first will be devoted to the presentation of the REPERES study by the Samusocial of Paris and the Solipam network
The second will focus on the link between homelessness policy and that of the first 1,000 days.
