"Once upon a time, but only once, or many times, or it's all the time, it repeats, all the time it repeats." Thus begins Three Tales and a Few by Emmanuel Adely, a cutting rewrite of Perrault's Tales. In his version, Donkeyskin becomes Oilskin, Little Red Riding Hood becomes Lou, a child threatened by eternal predators, Bluebeard is a serial lover cruising from yacht to palace. Moving from one tale to another with mischievous pleasure, the two actors chain together cross‑dresses and nods to social media, while Perrault watches, impassive, in period costume. A tragicomic and fiercely funny play.
