For this new series of dockings, scheduled for September 17, 18 and 19, 2026, an ephemeral radio studio will take place in the courtyard of the Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles. Imagined and built by the collective La S Grand Atelier, from the Belgian Ardennes, this setup will become, for three days, a place of appearance, production and broadcast of Radio Salé, giving a provisional materiality to the transnational network that has been weaving for several months between the various partner territories.
Open to the public, these dockings will propose sharing the very conditions of radio production. Visitors will be invited to move within the setup, to attend the activations, performances and protocols that will punctuate the live broadcasts, but also to listen to the programs produced simultaneously from the different partner territories. The studio will thus become a space of co‑presence where production gestures, listening situations and forms of encounter will overlap.
Gathered at the Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles for a week of residency, from September 14 to 19, two young award‑winning artists from each of the allied territories will extend several months of exchanges, research and experiments conducted remotely within the cyberspace of Radio Salé. This residency will constitute a time of intensifying the engaged relationships and the first bringing together of this research community. It will be devoted to the collective development of the nine hours of programs that will make up the September dockings, envisioned as a shared research space where performances, sound creations, narratives, music, radio protocols and experimental forms will intersect.
In parallel with this live performative programming, Radio Salé will also broadcast a selection of recordings from research developed within art schools, universities and art centers associated with the project, thus extending the experiments carried out throughout the year.
The three Paris studios will also be activated by invited artists and curators, whose proposals will open new lines of dialogue with the programs:
– September 17 with sound artist Thomas Moesl
– September 18 with exhibition curator Léna Peyrard, in dialogue with two artists from the exhibition “Asile_ Exodus & Fuga”
– September 19 with artist Martin Bakero
During these three days, the programs produced from Paris will resonate with the other Radio Salé studios deployed in Alexandria, Beirut, Mons and Tétouan. The voices, sounds and narratives produced from each of these contexts will compose a polyphonic radiophonic landscape where geographic distances fade in favor of a shared listening space, activated simultaneously across the network.
