Alexis Valet continues his residency at 38Riv, with high‑class guests and always accompanied by co‑performing musicians. The music explores a space of intense and fluid improvisation.
The double‑bassist is exceptional, rare on French stages, Joe Sanders draws bold musical trajectories. Now living in the south of France, this leading artist of contemporary jazz is recognized for the depth of his playing, an exceptional sense of listening and the ability to move freely between aesthetics. A sought‑after collaborator, he has for more than twenty years accompanied such iconic figures as Joshua Redman, Ben Wendel, Gerald Clayton, Kendrick Scott, Charles Lloyd and Logan Richardson. Present on many landmark recordings of the international jazz scene, he simultaneously develops a unique personal creativity where contemporary jazz, blues, Afro‑Latin music, folk and modern influences intersect. After “Introducing Joe Sanders” and “Humanity” he presents in 2026 his new album “Parallels”, an intimate and ambitious project revealing the full richness of his musical world and confirming his place among the most creative voices of his generation.
