UK born, multi award winner Alexandra Ridout is a trompeter, bandleader, composer and educator based in Harlem, NYC. At only 27, she is already one of the most talented jazz trumpeters on the international stage. Since she won the BBC Young Jazz Musician in 2016, she has been propelled into a busy and high-level career, captivating audiences since then. Other awards include British Jazz Awards ‘Rising Star' 2018, Parliamentary Jazz Awards Nominee 2020, Keep an Eye International Jazz Award ‘Best soloist' 2023, 2nd place at Carmine Caruso International Jazz Trumpet competition 2023 and Next Jazz Legacy through New Music USA 2025.
The quartet beautifully captures Alexandra's views of life and music, as perceived through the prism of her captivating compositions. The music aims to bring together Alexandra's diverse musical path and its influences, with counterpoint and artistic interaction in the foreground.
