The voice of the Vienna State Opera, a 2,200-year-old amphitheater, and the Mediterranean Sea—all this comes together in Aida Garifullina’s concert, which will be held in Cyprus for the first time.
One of the leading opera stars of her generation will give two concerts at one of Cyprus’s most famous venues.
Aida Garifullina is a soloist with the Vienna State Opera and the New York Metropolitan Opera, a winner of Plácido Domingo’s Operalia competition, and an artist with the legendary Decca Records label. She has performed at La Scala and the Arena di Verona, sung with Andrea Bocelli, and in 2018 opened the FIFA World Cup at Luzhniki Stadium alongside Robbie Williams.
On October 9 and 10, 2026, Garifullina will perform at the Kourion Amphitheater in Cyprus—an ancient arena dating back to the 2nd century BCE, perched on a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. It is one of the island’s most impressive open-air concert venues, featuring natural acoustics.
The evening’s program features world-renowned opera masterpieces: from Bizet’s “Habanera” and a drinking song from Verdi’s *La Traviata* to arias from Tchaikovsky’s *Eugene Onegin* and Strauss’s waltz “Voices of Spring.” Performing on stage will be Aida Garifullina, tenor Kirill Sikora, baritone Semyon Antakov, and the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra conducted by Miron Michailidis.
Ticket prices range from €80 to €200.
Seating is limited to 1,500 per concert.
