Would you like to spend a day discovering Cyprus’s amazing nature?
Every Saturday in October and November, residents and visitors to the island are invited to embark on a fascinating journey through the picturesque corners of western Cyprus—to Polis Chrysochous and the famous Akamas Peninsula.
This is a wonderful opportunity to see Cyprus from a completely different perspective: to explore its nature, geology, and unique flora and fauna; to visit interesting nature centers; and to spend the day surrounded by beautiful landscapes.
The itinerary includes exploring the natural environment of the Akamas region and visiting several points of interest.
Participants will have the chance to visit the Akamas Geology and Paleontology Information Center, where they can learn more about the island’s geological past and the fascinating history of how Cyprus’s landscape was formed.
The itinerary also includes a visit to the Innia-Lara Turtle Museum, dedicated to sea turtles, and the Akamas Avifauna and Flora Visitor Center, where you can explore the region’s rich world of birds and plants.
One of the stops will be the traditional Cypriot village of Kathikas, where participants will have free time to walk around and relax.
