10th Agricultural Culture Festival: Everything that will happen this year in Protaras

A two‑day event with Cypriot flavors, traditional crafts, music, a concert by Christos Thivaio and activities for children with free admission
Rural culture, flavors and traditions of the Cypriot countryside come to the fore through a large two‑day festival in Protaras. The 10th Rural Culture Festival will take place on Friday the 2nd and Saturday the 3rd of October 2026, at the Municipal Square “Leukolla”.
Stalls of agricultural organizations and producers will be set up on site, giving visitors the chance to discover and taste Cypriot products and traditional delicacies. Palouzes, siousioukkos, hot halloumi and village bread are just some of the flavors that will take center stage.
Traditional crafts will have a special place in the program, while chef Christos Christodoulou will prepare a live Cypriot dish, which will be offered free to the public. At the same time, children will be able to take part in creative activities specially designed for them.
The musical program includes a folk concert with Dimitris Mesimeri and Freideriki Tompazou, as well as performances by traditional dance groups. The climax of the two‑day event will come on Saturday evening with Christos Thivaio, who will present at 21:00 the concert “30 years – Only Opposite”.
The festival is organized by the Cyprus Rural Payments Organization with the support of the Municipality of Paralimni–Deryneia and takes place under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides. At the same time, the event supports the Association “One Dream One Wish”.
